TEHRAN - Constructing a unique welfare and entertainment complex will turn Chabahar into a tourism pole in Iran, said head of Tourism Development of Chabahar Free Trade Zone.

Seyed Hamed Hosseini added that building entertainment harbors, establishing diving school, completing half-constructed restaurants and amphitheater, and establishing some floating restaurants are among the programs of the tourism management of Chabahar Free Zone.

Pointing to holding seminar on studying tourism potentials and facilities of Chabahar, he said that proper advertisement is one of the means to promote tourism of the region, adding that several books are scheduled to be published in tourism attractions of the region.

"Provincial Cultural Festival is due to be held for 10 days in December with the cooperation of the governor general of Sistan-o-Balouchestan", he continued.

"Several main sports competitions are also due to be held in the region from next year.

"Project of Chabahar tourism development is prepared and regional tourism activities are organized by the subsidiaries", he continued.

Cooperated with Chabahar Bank Saderat, tourism credit cards are also available for the tourists, and establishing shipping lines from Chabahar to Mascat and to Dubai are also among the other programs, he concluded.
